This sensor is located a on the front of the Left hand cylinder head on the 7.3L powerstroke V8 engines and measures the high pressure oil which feeds a signal to the ECU. This signal in turn is used to manage the fuel injection system and IRP Valve.
These sensors are a common failure on these vehicles - symptoms include not starting, stalling (especially under acceleration), lack of power, RPM fluctuations and Check Engine Light or CEL and fault code.
